Calendars, Time and Saving Light
The week before, the driver would have encountered the sun setting, not in his or her eyes, but still clear light at that time (5:30 pm). The next Monday, "suddenly" it is dark at that time of day. If it is a usual schedule, the driver would have been accustomed to a 6:30 pm activity, possibly something more relaxing than driving.
Did the time change from Daylight Time to Standard Time present a psychological challenge to which the driver had not yet adapted? Did the time change present new physical realities in terms of light and darkness at that time of day?
Composite screen shots of the previous week, the time of the accident and how that particular application deals with Daylight Saving Time.
