Global Civilizations

The intent of this blog was to show my progress studying the content of the Global Civilizations curriculum I helped produce in 1992. I expected to update it with current examples from my life as time went on.

We have been gardening together since the fall of 2001. John sifts the soil and Lee grows the greens. We prefer greens and roots in the winter and harder stemmed veggies in the summer such as peppers and cucumbers. John looks after his worms and tumbles compost. Lee tracks the seeds and the work schedule here in the northwest Mojave Desert.

Our Joint Decision

"I am like you and you are like me, but our fundamental equality can be demonstrated only through joint decision."

My lesson for today was, "Whenever I am afraid of what I am, I do NOT appreciate it and will therefore reject it.  As a result, I will TEACH REJECTION" (ACIM, OE, Text, ¶6.24).  Well, I do not want to teach rejection but I still experience much resistance to "what I am."

I asked for help and, of course, was shown the rest of the paragraph.  "All forms of rejection (including the separation) are utterly meaningless" to which I replied again, "Help."  To which (He) replied, ==> We are not separated.

I can breathe a breath of fresh air.  One more step.  Not yet there.  So a bit more review.  Remember the beginning of the chapter about anger and the projection of separation.  This makes a little more sense now.

For tomorrow, it seems, we have the privilege of considering our joint decision again. "I am like you and you are like me, but our fundamental equality can be demonstrated only through joint decision" (¶6.8).
